Sanor Research publishes market research, analysis, and related editorial content for professional audiences. This document defines the editorial standards under which that content is produced and maintained.
The standards apply to all Sanor publications and to all contributors, including external subject-matter experts engaged as authors, co-authors, or reviewers. The current version took effect in August 2026.
Sanor’s editorial practice is governed by nine standards:
Each standard is described in detail below. Questions regarding these standards may be directed to research@sanor.com.
Every figure and conclusion is verified before publication. Verification follows a defined sequence: source check, expert review, and sign-off by a named reviewer. Each stage is completed before the next begins.
Content that cannot be verified is excluded. Estimates and projections are identified as such, together with the assumptions on which they rest. Where the underlying evidence is thin, the publication says so.
Original Sanor research enters this sequence earlier. Study design and data collection are documented, and collected datasets are validated before analysis begins. Sanor’s own data passes the same source check as external material.
Primary sources are used wherever available: owner surveys, transaction data, regulatory filings, and direct interviews take precedence over secondary reporting. Claims subject to dispute require corroboration from multiple independent sources before publication. Each published figure identifies its source. A reader can trace any figure in a Sanor publication to its origin. Data Sanor collects itself, through surveys and fieldwork, is identified as Sanor data, with the collection method and period stated.
Where Sanor publications draw on external research, that research is cited and linked in the form its authors request. Paraphrased material is attributed the same way as quotation. All publications are screened for plagiarism before release.
Published datasets state their methodology, sample size, and margin of error. Survey instruments, sampling frames, and collection periods are documented, and material limitations of a dataset are stated alongside its findings.
Data visualizations preserve proportionality: axes, scales, and baselines are presented without distortion, and truncated axes are marked where used. Underlying data is retained and available for verification. Each publication documents the methods used for its research.
Each publication identifies its authors, co-authors, and reviewers by name. Credentials are stated and verifiable, and each contributor maintains a profile listing their background and prior Sanor publications. Responsibility for published content rests with the named contributors and with Sanor Research. Sanor does not publish ghostwritten work; every substantive contribution to a piece is credited.
Contributors are required to disclose financial and professional interests in the markets they cover, including ownership positions, advisory roles, and commercial relationships with covered entities. Sanor collects disclosures before an engagement begins and updates them as circumstances change. Material disclosures appear on the publication itself.
A conflict does not in itself exclude a contributor; practicing experts hold interests in the fields they know best, and disclosure exists to make those interests visible to the reader. An identified failure to disclose results in a review of the contributor’s prior work and may end the collaboration.
Sanor Research is funded through advisory engagements and licensed reports. Sanor accepts no sponsorship, advertising, or paid placement, and no commercial relationship confers influence over findings or publication decisions.
The advisory practice holds no role in editorial decisions. Publications are released without prior access for clients or any other external party. Where a publication covers a market in which the advisory practice maintains active engagements, this is disclosed on the publication.
Quotations are edited only for grammar and clarity, with meaning and context preserved. Interview material is presented in the context in which it was given. Interview subjects may review their quoted statements for accuracy before publication; editorial analysis and conclusions are excluded from such review, and no subject holds approval rights over a publication.
Subjects of critical findings are offered the opportunity to respond before publication, within a stated period proportionate to the significance of the finding. Responses received are reflected or noted in the publication. Where no response is received, this is recorded.
Sanor uses automated and AI-based tools in research and production, including data processing, drafting, analysis, and translation. These tools operate under human direction at every stage, and their use is subject to the same verification requirements as all other work.
Published figures and conclusions are verified by a named expert before release, regardless of how they were produced. Accountability for published content rests with the named contributors under Standard 4 and cannot be delegated to a tool.
Identified errors are corrected and noted on the affected publication with the date and nature of the correction. Minor errors, such as typographical mistakes that leave findings unchanged, are corrected without notation. Errors that alter a finding or a conclusion prompt a review of the full publication, and material corrections are stated prominently.
Each publication carries its revision history, reflected in the date displayed on the publication. Errors may be reported to corrections@sanor.com by any reader; all reports are assessed under the same process regardless of their source.
