About SANOR

SANOR is a research and advisory firm for the private healthcare market. Clinic operators and healthcare enterprises use our research and advisory work to understand their markets, lower patient acquisition costs, and increase patient lifetime value. Our mission is to help private healthcare companies grow. As demand for our work increases, we are expanding our research and advisory practices.

The Role

The Research team produces SANOR’s published research on the private healthcare market, including market reports, benchmarking studies, rankings, and industry analyses. It conducts primary research through surveys, market studies, and interviews, and combines it with secondary research. This work informs SANOR’s advisory engagements and the decisions of operators and investors across the sector.

As a Research Editor, you will review SANOR’s research before publication and be responsible for its accuracy, methodology, and clarity. You will work with Healthcare Research Analysts from study design through final draft, verify sources and calculations, and give feedback that improves each report. You will also work with the content and AI search teams to ensure published findings are presented clearly and cited correctly.

What You’ll Do

  • Review research reports, benchmarks, rankings, and analyses for accuracy, clarity, and relevance to decision-makers.
  • Review survey design, sampling, and benchmarking methods before fieldwork begins.
  • Verify sources and assess the quality and reliability of the data behind each finding.
  • Check calculations, statistical analysis, and the reasoning that connects evidence to conclusions.
  • Give analysts clear, structured feedback that improves both the current report and future work.
  • Apply and maintain SANOR’s editorial and methodological standards, including how methods and sources are disclosed.
  • Manage the review schedule so research is published on time.

What Success Looks Like

  • Published research requires few or no corrections after release.
  • Methods and findings hold up when reviewed by journalists, analysts, and industry experts.
  • Reports move through review efficiently and are published on schedule.

What You’ll Bring

If you meet the minimum requirements, we encourage you to apply. Preferred qualifications are a bonus.

Minimum requirements

  • 5+ years of experience editing research, analysis, or business journalism.
  • Strong knowledge of research methodology, including survey design, sampling, benchmarking, and quantitative analysis.
  • Experience verifying data, checking calculations, and identifying weaknesses in an argument.
  • Experience editing data-heavy reports for executive or expert readers.
  • Experience giving direct, constructive feedback to writers or analysts.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare business intelligence, healthcare market research, or healthcare industry publishing.
  • Experience at a market research firm, industry analyst firm, or business publication.
  • Familiarity with how research is surfaced and cited by AI search and answer platforms.

Working at SANOR

This is a remote contract role. You will work directly with SANOR’s research team and leadership, and you will be accountable for the quality of our published research. We set clear expectations, review performance against agreed outcomes, and give regular feedback. As SANOR grows, the scope of each role grows with it.

Compensation

The rate for this role will be agreed during the interview process, based on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and scope of work.

How to Apply

Please submit your CV and two or three published pieces of research or analysis that you edited. For each, include a short note on the main changes you made and why. In your note, also describe a common methodological weakness in published market research and how you would address it.

We look forward to hearing from you.
